[00:01:39] Speaker B: It's all for love. Hello and welcome to the it's all for Love podcast. I am Cheryl the healing dancer and this is where we talk about Michael Jackson and how he spreads love throughout the world. Still to this day and today, I have with me the lovely Madigan. She is from Columbus, Ohio and she's been a Michael Jackson fan since the age of five. And she's now 21 and will be turning 22 in November. So exciting. And she creates edits for Michael Jackson positive posts on Instagram, Twitter and TikTok. So Madigan, or Maddie as she likes to be called too, tell us a little bit about that. About your Michael Jackson positive posts.
[00:02:26] Speaker C: All right, so on TikTok, I've been creating posts for the biopic for everyone to see to kind of spread hype and awareness about Michael Jackson biopic coming April 18, 2025. I've created numerous edits. I have one of the cast members friends has actually seen one of my videos and showed it to his cast members from what I'm assuming they've seen it.
I want everyone to just get hyped for this with me. Get excited.
Michael Jackson Love is back. Jackson Mania is here to stay whether people like it or not. I love seeing, like, MJ positive articles on Twitter. I will repost those. I repost all sorts of positive edits on Instagram. I see Twitter. I love hyping up positive articles and, like, the thriller challenge with injustice for some. I helped leave that initiate with her last year, which was an honor. My friend izzy on Twitter, she'll be doing the giving tree poster for Forest line for June 25, so hit her up. You want to work on that with us?
So, yeah, this is some of the projects I've been in on, and I might be working on the smile or recover with TJ Jackson. Pretty sure coming soon.
[00:03:44] Speaker B: Nice.
Awesome. Well, I'll definitely have to check out all of this and share your stuff.
We all love Michael Jackson. Positive, anything. Well, we love Michael Jackson anything. But when it's positive, you know, that's when we're sharing the love. So thank you for doing all of that, and I look forward to checking it out.
So, Maddie, tell me, when did you first discover Michael Jackson? Like, when was that first time he just came into your life and struck you in the heart?
[00:04:18] Speaker C: I was five years old, and my mom, my sisters are in the living room with our family laptop, and my mom happened to be watching the thriller music video, and she showed it to my sisters and I. And I don't know, there's just something about Michael where's, like, an instant, like, I got hooked right away. There's something so special about him. I was like, I've never seen something like this before. Like, who is this? Who is this person?
I've gotten to know so much about him through reading about him, listening to people that had met him. I got to meet Monty Taylor, actually, his technician.
[00:04:58] Speaker B: Wow.
[00:05:00] Speaker C: He works with who's bad. And I got to meet him after the show, and he had the most amazing stories to share on Michael.
[00:05:09] Speaker B: That's awesome. It's so awesome when you meet someone who actually knew him and then they share all these amazing stories because, I mean, we all know that he was an amazing person, right? He wasn't just an entertainer. He wasn't just, like, the best dancer and singer in the world. He is just an amazing person. And it's awesome when you can actually talk to somebody about him as a person. So that's great.
[00:05:35] Speaker C: I've just been hooked on Michael ever since I was five. Like, he's just guided me through every phase of life.
You see me, every friendship, every job change, every win, every loss of my life, he's been there.
[00:05:52] Speaker B: So when you say he's been there, so tell us a little bit about that. How has he been there?
[00:05:57] Speaker C: Like, during really difficult times, like, I'll be going through something like losing a family member and like, his music will be playing somewhere out in public, like, close to that event. And I'm like, he gets what I'm going through. Like, he knows it, right?
[00:06:15] Speaker B: Yeah. I like to call those Michael Jackson synchronicities as well because it's like you're out and about and it's all of a sudden he just shows up.
[00:06:25] Speaker C: I know, like, I was at a hockey game coming home like a month or so ago in the Anna Arena. DJ played Jack Janet in the arena coming home, or 80 station played Michael randomly. I'm like, oh, hi.
[00:06:41] Speaker B: I see that, too. I'm like, oh, hey, Michael, thanks for showing up.
[00:06:47] Speaker C: Show me a sign.
[00:06:49] Speaker B: Right?
[00:06:50] Speaker C: It was randomly pop up playing somewhere. I'm like, oh, okay. I'm in the.
[00:06:56] Speaker B: Oh, I love it. I love when that happens. Is there anything else, like another time that you can think of where, I don't know, you were going through something or he helped you get through it?
[00:07:07] Speaker C: Like, recently I went through a friendship breakup, seven or eight years. And, like, listen to one day in your life and Ben, it was like, I was like, wow. He understands, like, it's a really tough time and there's not going to be someone else like me. That friend just lost. I'm like, it's kind of their loss, honestly. End of it, right?
[00:07:30] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. I love how Michael's message, well, one of his messages, he has so many of them, is all about just being yourself and following your dreams and, you know, creating your life. So definitely you seem like you're following that advice.
[00:07:50] Speaker C: I do. Yeah. Follow him for advice. I'm like, I wish I could have a conversation with him.
[00:07:56] Speaker B: I know, I know, right? We have so many questions.
[00:08:03] Speaker C: Beyond his years. It never fails way listening to him just talk about life, right?
[00:08:11] Speaker B: And a lot of the stuff that he has said or even sang about is so relevant today.
[00:08:20] Speaker C: It really is. Like if you listen to Earth Song, he was warning us about what's happening currently back in 1993, and it's still happening today. And I'm like, michael warned you all, didn't he?
[00:08:33] Speaker B: Right?
I love it. I love how he is timeless.
That's how I look at it. He's just timeless because everything just seems so like, I mean, the stuff that he even, like, created back in like, what, the seventies and eighties, which the eighties are my time era. Now I'm dating myself, but, you know, everything was just so relevant to what even is even happening today.
[00:09:03] Speaker C: I love it how he knows. He knew so far ahead of time of all the tragedy that would happen.
[00:09:12] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:09:12] Speaker C: Like at protests back in 2020, you'd see people in the street saying, like, they don't care about us. Man in the mirror, he'll the world Earth song. Like, just have that. Like, I'm here. I understand what's going on. I'm leading the charge I want with you guys.
[00:09:33] Speaker B: Yep. Yeah. He's fighting right along with us.
[00:09:37] Speaker C: He is. It just amazes me.
[00:09:40] Speaker B: I know. It is. It's. It's like a. It's very.
Gosh, what's the word? It's just like, it's. It's comforting.
You know, it's like, it's very comforting knowing that.
Like, I just made a post today on Facebook, and I know when I post this podcast, it's going to be a while after that, but I just made a post on Facebook about how his energy is so still present in the world and it's like he's still here on earth. You know.
[00:10:16] Speaker C: Back to the arena that I saw Michael Jackson World touring back in 2019 almost. I think it was like a few days after the ten year anniversary was passing and I walk in and that Arena DJ had Billie Jean on a pre show playlist. As they walked in, I was like, I just talked to Jonathan Mafia via live stream for an hour two nights before saying like, hey, I'm going back. Do you think Michael would be proud? He goes, I do.
I think he wants you to go back. Foreclosure?
[00:10:48] Speaker B: Yes. Yes.
Well, tell me a little bit about like, some of the things that you do to make Michael proud.
[00:11:00] Speaker C: So recently, the day after I saw who's bad a few days before, there was three tornado in my lake house neighborhood now north of us. The day after my who's bad show, me and my family went. Next day, we went and helped with post storm cleanup efforts the entire day Saturday after the show.
[00:11:23] Speaker B: Wow.
So I just, I love all of this because this is, this is the exact message or one of the exact messages that I want to get across with this podcast is how Michael has impacted our lives to the point where he inspires us to do these things for other people, to help other people, to help the world, to help the earth. And I feel like without him, there wouldn't be so many of us who have learned to live our lives and be a certain way. Does that make sense?
[00:12:00] Speaker C: He's taught us how to be good people that want to get back, that want to be on the grounds of tragedy, that want to give back all the time.
[00:12:08] Speaker B: Right. And I just want to be the love and share the love with everybody.
[00:12:14] Speaker C: Because like high school, for our homecoming dance, all of our ticket proceeds went to the make a wish foundation that year.
[00:12:23] Speaker B: I love it. I love it. Well, tell me, if you had to pick a favorite Michael Jackson song, what would it be?
[00:12:31] Speaker C: Mine personally is will you be there for the dangerous albumen?
[00:12:36] Speaker B: Yeah, that's my favorite album.
Yeah. It's hard, like, it's so hard to pick a song and an album because they're all good. You know, we love them all. But, yeah, dangerous was like, I don't know why.
[00:12:51] Speaker C: That album that radiates with me.
[00:12:53] Speaker B: Yes. All the songs were just like, so just right in the heart for me.
[00:13:01] Speaker C: I know when I hear the poem and then will he be there? I'm like, this makes so much sense. Like, I've been through much growing up. It's like he knows it.
[00:13:12] Speaker B: Yes. Yes. Did you ever see the movie free Willy?
That the song I see, like, clips.
[00:13:19] Speaker C: Going around that showed me.
[00:13:21] Speaker B: Yeah, no, it's a cute movie. It's definitely. I haven't seen it since then, but now I want to go back and watch it.
It's cute.
[00:13:32] Speaker C: Jackson's next generation on YouTube. And, like, seeing like, young Jafar compared to now, I'm like, I really wasn't Jafar fan from day one without even knowing it, knowing who he was. Now here he is playing his uncle Michael.
[00:13:50] Speaker B: That's so. I know. I cannot wait for that. He looks so good. It's going to be amazing.
[00:13:57] Speaker C: I know. I'm so proud of him. Jafar, if you hear this, you watch this. I'm so proud of you. I'm running so hard for you. For any awards season next year, he's coming from mall.
[00:14:08] Speaker B: We all will.
[00:14:11] Speaker C: Now I'm arranging the fan meetup here in Ohio. If you're going to cinemark Marcus, AMC theaters here in Ohio. I'm playing the meetups for the biofake next year.
We'll see how it goes.
[00:14:23] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:14:24] Speaker C: Hope they can come out here. That'd be great.
[00:14:27] Speaker B: Yeah. I think there's going to be a lot of hype about it. You know, all of us fans are going to be posting and just getting it out there because the biopic is all about the real Michael. Like, I cannot wait.
[00:14:41] Speaker C: Not just like this.
And we've always heard and seen and read about.
[00:14:48] Speaker B: Exactly. Exactly. It's time for the world to know who the real Michael is. If you don't I mean, we know, we know.
[00:14:58] Speaker C: Who he really is, right. Exactly how the world is gonna, you know, see him for the first time in more of a, more than just a surface level version of him, right. A deeper, more philosophical version.
[00:15:14] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
Who's gonna. Yeah. Like I said, who he really was. Not just the entertainer, you know, obviously the entertainer is part of who he was, who he is, but.
[00:15:30] Speaker C: Humanitarian. The philosophy to come out.
[00:15:35] Speaker B: Right.
[00:15:36] Speaker C: Time for that real trial, Michael to come out.
[00:15:39] Speaker B: Yes. Yeah.
I can't wait.
[00:15:43] Speaker C: I can't wait to see the next generation of fans.
[00:15:46] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness.
There's so many like young kids that are just love Michael Jackson. Like, you know, there's a. I think there's an impersonator here in New Jersey that I'm actually trying to go see tomorrow. He's twelve and he's twelve and he does Michael Jackson impersonator. He dances exactly like him. People keep sharing them with me. I'm like, I got to go check this kid out. Actually. I'm going to try to get him on the podcast.
[00:16:12] Speaker C: Anyone has leave York of who's bad? I just saw Marge. Oh, my God. He was incredible.
[00:16:22] Speaker B: Yes. Who's bad?
[00:16:23] Speaker C: Great for a thriller. He came around, asked almost on barricade. He's like, which song made you a Michael fan and intimidated you on the barricade?
And he sat down. It's right before, like, I'll be there right before Jackson find Mellie sat on the stage right in front of us.
[00:16:42] Speaker B: Wow, that's ten minutes. Nice.
[00:16:46] Speaker C: It's like brown. It was so much fun.
[00:16:48] Speaker B: That's awesome.
[00:16:49] Speaker C: His light up when he talked to them, it was the cutest thing he was saying like breaking, he's saying like break of dawn, the right end. Another part of me. He hit the deep cut.
[00:17:02] Speaker B: Wow. Yeah. Those are not like typical songs to perform. I love it.
Do you have a favorite music video by Michael?
[00:17:14] Speaker C: I'd say short film wise.
[00:17:16] Speaker B: Yeah, short film wise, what is it?
[00:17:19] Speaker C: Criminal forever. Iconic.
[00:17:21] Speaker B: Thriller.
[00:17:23] Speaker C: Thriller. Smooth. Criminal forever. Iconic.
[00:17:26] Speaker B: Have you seen Moonwalker?
[00:17:28] Speaker C: I have, yes.
[00:17:30] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. That's, that's my favorite. I say it in every episode. That's because it is my favorite.
[00:17:36] Speaker C: Cinematography on that one. Unreal, yes.
[00:17:40] Speaker B: Yeah. But thriller is where it started for me too. I was around five years old as well when I saw thriller.
Yeah, that's where it all started.
[00:17:51] Speaker C: Ultimately did for thriller 40, they put like a TikTok section in and the video they filmed from my day, the musical in Cincinnati was in there.
And I remember meeting me texting me, calling me. Like, is that you in the text talk section? Like, did I just see you? I was like, I think so.
[00:18:10] Speaker B: Like.
[00:18:13] Speaker C: No way am I really in this? And Joey's like, I saw you.
[00:18:16] Speaker B: I was like, cool.
[00:18:20] Speaker C: Without even knowing.
[00:18:22] Speaker B: Wow, that is so awesome.
[00:18:25] Speaker C: Good job.
Thank you for doing that.
[00:18:30] Speaker B: Tell us, what do you want the world to know about Michael Jackson?
[00:18:36] Speaker C: He's forever innocent, but he was more than just the singer, dancer, entertainer, artist. He was a person of faith.
He came from nothing to on top of the world. But because he had that work ethic, that drive, that wisdom, like, he studied anything and everyone and everything he could get his hands on book wise, video wise.
[00:19:04] Speaker B: Yeah, he was a student of life.
[00:19:08] Speaker C: He really was. And it blows me away.
[00:19:11] Speaker B: Yeah. He was so smart. Like, I mean, I love to read, too, but the geez. Like, he knew a lot of stuff and he researched and he read, and he was just. He was like, just well, more than a well rounded human being, you know, it was like the amount of books and, like. And he was an artist, too. Do you know that?
[00:19:39] Speaker C: I do. I love artwork that, like, I heard one of my friends know someone's in my Neverland.
His name is BJ. And he told me if Michael had gotten any fan art at the gate, he personally took it. And he kept it in the dining room at Neverland ranch.
[00:19:57] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:19:58] Speaker C: Well, there to this day.
[00:20:00] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:20:01] Speaker C: I bought it. Has it all there before Michael had it.
[00:20:05] Speaker B: That's awesome.
I wish they would open that place up for us to see.
[00:20:10] Speaker C: I know. I do, too.
Footage from Neverland in the biopic.
[00:20:18] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. Well, that's where they're. They're recording it. So I was just. I actually went to California last summer for to go see Neverland. Well, the outside of it, you know, and they. That they were getting the place ready for the recording inside, like, putting it back to the way that it was when he lived there. So it was really cool to, like, see how they were doing on the outside, like, even before you enter through the gate.
So it was nice.
[00:20:52] Speaker C: I want to talk about this one club I heard life like Josie put in return to Neverland, how Michael would write all his songs in the giving tree at Neverland. He wrote me in the mirror in that tree.
[00:21:05] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:21:07] Speaker C: And other songs in that tree. And I'm like, he really. Nature really inspired something out of him.
[00:21:14] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. How does Michael continue to spread love in your world?
[00:21:22] Speaker C: Michael continues to spread love through my world, through music. Like, I'm always playing his music for my coworkers at work. They get so tired of my aunt dance.
As soon as I walk in the room, MJ's coming on like, let me have my moment.
[00:21:39] Speaker B: I know, I hear you. I get that, too. My husband's always like, you're listening to Michael Jackson again. Yeah, I am.
[00:21:45] Speaker C: I haven't went last year.
Yes, I got the mug from the national tour. I had the poster here on my side.
[00:21:56] Speaker B: Nice.
[00:21:57] Speaker C: Yeah, I have the off the wall. This is exclusive. This is exclusive one from hot Topic last year.
[00:22:05] Speaker B: Nice. I didn't even know they had that.
[00:22:10] Speaker C: And he hugs me in this t shirt and he actually like, Michael, when he talks to you, it's so, like, spooky.
I was like, shaking. He's like, stop. Breathe.
This one was, I think this is Walmart.
[00:22:25] Speaker B: Oh, wow, that's nice.
[00:22:28] Speaker C: Even during 2019, during the allegations they had this in person.
[00:22:34] Speaker B: Nice Walmart for that.
Yeah. I have a Michael Jackson shirt from Walmart, but it's like a gray one. I can't. I wear it, like, to bed.
[00:22:48] Speaker C: Like, most stores would have yanked their Michael stuff during that time.
[00:22:52] Speaker B: Yeah, well, you know, some places were still supporting him, which they should all.
[00:22:58] Speaker C: Oh, absolutely go there.
[00:23:02] Speaker B: I love your Michael Jackson background.
[00:23:05] Speaker C: Forever proud Trevor on my back.
[00:23:10] Speaker B: Is that the authentic jacket?
[00:23:16] Speaker C: This is a dupe from hot Topic.
[00:23:18] Speaker B: Oh, okay. I need to get the hot topic. What the heck?
[00:23:24] Speaker C: From a local antique mall in my state.
[00:23:29] Speaker B: Very nice. I love it. I love it.
[00:23:32] Speaker C: Walking by the jacket section, I thought nothing of it until I hear my western God again. Come here.
And there was a 1984. This authentic leather thriller jackethe out of nowhere.
[00:23:45] Speaker B: Wow. You gotta get it.
[00:23:47] Speaker C: You know, I literally like, this is mine and it's coming home with me.
Like, put it on.
[00:24:01] Speaker B: I got my thriller shirt on. Woohoo.
[00:24:04] Speaker C: He heard about the jacket. He's like, you better bring it next time I see you.
[00:24:08] Speaker B: That's awesome. I love it so much. It looks good on you, girl.
[00:24:12] Speaker C: Thank you.
Lee Jorg asking to bring this next. So I see him at, he's like, please bring it next time. I want to see it.
[00:24:20] Speaker B: Yeah, definitely wear it out. Wear it proud. You don't even have to wear it to a Michael Jackson event. Just wear it out.
[00:24:28] Speaker C: Forever. Represent him. He's changed my life.
[00:24:33] Speaker B: Amen to that. Yes.
[00:24:35] Speaker C: I want to shout out all my group chats to my MJ friends, my moonwalking kingdom, group chat with Joey and all them.
[00:24:44] Speaker B: Nice.
[00:24:45] Speaker C: Which I know we're all arranging meetups for the biotech in New York. Cali, New Jersey and Ohio are being taken care of first?
[00:24:53] Speaker B: Yes. Yes.
[00:24:55] Speaker C: I've got Ohio. If you guys want to meet up here, there's a fan club out here.
[00:25:00] Speaker B: Nice. Well, yeah, if you guys want to reach out to Maddie, how. How can they find you? It'll be in the show notes, instagram.
[00:25:09] Speaker C: At O'Brien, Twitter, Brianmatigan, TikTok at O'Brien.
[00:25:15] Speaker B: Nice. And if you want to meet up for the biopic out where she lives in Ohio, definitely reach out.
I'll be in New Jersey. I'll be arranging something also. Well, is there anything else that you would like the audience to know about you or Michael?
[00:25:35] Speaker C: About me? I have one older sister, two younger sisters. I come from a house of all girls.
[00:25:42] Speaker B: Wow.
Women power.
[00:25:46] Speaker C: What was that?
[00:25:47] Speaker B: Woman power.
[00:25:52] Speaker C: Are you such a tomboy if you have all sisters? I'm like. I know. Just raised differently.
[00:25:59] Speaker B: That's okay.
[00:26:00] Speaker C: Michael has been like my musical best friend. Like, all my most long time figures in my life. Been, like, 1819 years of my life.
[00:26:12] Speaker B: That's awesome.
I love it.
[00:26:16] Speaker C: All right, well, this is, what, 15 years, Michael?
[00:26:22] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah, not long.
[00:26:24] Speaker C: Joey, the other day, and I was like, all right, now I feel old.
[00:26:30] Speaker B: Oh, girl, you're not old.
I know it feels like a long time, but goes by fast.
[00:26:39] Speaker C: I live my life as a fan without having Michael physically present that I had with him here.
[00:26:46] Speaker B: Right. Yeah.
[00:26:50] Speaker C: It'S been a. I wish he was here, man. To see all of us grow up, that we're supposed to have him.
[00:26:57] Speaker B: I truly believe that he sees all of us watching over all of us, helping us to evolve and become the best people that we can be.
[00:27:09] Speaker C: Also, I'm only a few months younger than Bee Gee.
He just turned 22 in February, so I'm like, he's actually not that much older than me.
Friends. I'm right here, bud.
[00:27:21] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:27:23] Speaker C: That's a fan of your father. I'd love to be friends.
[00:27:27] Speaker B: Hey, you never know. Keep reaching out.
[00:27:31] Speaker C: I know. Like, love to talk to the family. Oh, my goodness.
I actually talked to Travis, Jonathan, and TJ.
[00:27:40] Speaker B: Very nice.
That's awesome.
They're a bunch of great people.
[00:27:46] Speaker C: Really are.
[00:27:48] Speaker B: We're going to end it here. And any last words that you want to say about Michael.
[00:27:55] Speaker C: Michael, thank you for everything you've ever gotten me through.
Thank you for changing my life. Thank you for letting me become the person I am and for helping me through a lot of stuff.
Thank you for being a guardian angel for love. We miss you. We wish you were here. You had so much more left to give to this world. But you left behind so much more than you know you did.
You forever left a legacy of light, love, healing, faith, kindness, compassion, empathy.
You forever raise a lot of people that are good people because of you.
[00:28:42] Speaker B: Beautiful.

[00:28:59] Speaker B: That's right. And we love you. Keep dancing your dance. We'll see you next time.
